Evolution FAQ

As you may know, there are many possible ways Pokémon can evolve. Most evolve when they reach a certain level, others need specific items, and still others have relatively obscure methods.

This FAQ will explain the evolution of every Pokémon. It was a major collaborative effort between myself and Stf9.

The Pokémon are organized by their national Pokédex number. However, cross-gen evolution chains are kept intact. For example, 172 Pichu is placed before 025 Pikachu, 169 Crobat is placed after 042 Golbat, etc.

If an evo method is listed as Happiness, then the Pokémon must:
- Be Level 10 or over
- Be holding a Happy Scarf
- Gain a new level

Daytime is 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM FORUM TIME.
Nighttime is 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM FORUM TIME.

In the case of Eevee evolving into Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, or Glaceon, the same rules as Happiness apply BUT the Eevee must be holding the specific Shard, rather than the Happy Scarf.

In the case of Tyrogue, the Tyrogue will evolve at level 20. It will evolve into whichever evolution is specified by the Gem it is holding. (More info on the Gems when they are released. Until then no Tyrogue may be evolved.)

In the case of Clamperl, the Clamperl must be traded while holding the desired item.

In the case of Nincada, at level 20 it will evolve into Ninjask. If you own a Shed Shell at the time of evolution, you will also receive a Shedinja at the loss of the Shed Shell.
