Here's an introduction to TSR, or The Sinnoh Region (the name of this place) by Some1fungi, me. I'm also SomeoneF here, that's my more used alternate account. I know there's already a beginners guide to tsr in the faq section here, but i think more things should be said and i might as well make a topic of my own. If you are too lazy to read all of the following text, then don't. I don't care whether you want to read it or not. So here it is:
Some basic facts
History: If you didn't know already, The Sinnoh Region used to be a clan on Poképlushies (another forum). It had the base concepts, but it eventually moved to its own individual site.
What is this place:
This place is like most other Pokémon forums. This is considered a Pokémon RP, but it doesn't have as many aspects of a RP as other forums have. Currently part of this place works like the Pokémon games (or at least the battle system does...). That's one of the things i like here. It's barely a RP.
Power and status:
Fhq, original owner of TSR, gave her power to Karasu, otherwise known as Z, Betazero, Tim (his irl name), Kai, and other names i didn't include. He, being the president, has all the power. Don't piss him off unless you have a good defense or reason. As for power issues, there are more mods than actual members which shows how empty this place is (and i think we still need a couple more people to be gym leaders). Fhq and Karasu are the most powerful ones. And then the other mods are under. And then there's me, the lowest status you could ever be. That's how much fail I am ;D. If you want to have more power/become a mod, it's easy since this place is emptyish (just be active). Remember, don't piss off Karasu.
The core 5:
What is the core 5? Why am i mentioning this? Well, the core 5 are the people who will discuss how to change the battle system and such and will change this place. So get along with them or something. The core 5 are Fhq, Karasu, Saorren, Flaewire, and Fhd. I'm not included because Karasu decided not to include me. But that's ok. Anyways, just pointing this out.
Some questions/concerns
The activity:
Because there are few members and such, activity might be small. Back then, i think battle topics would only progress one turn a day or something. Then I came and battles went by faster
. Then I went inactive and Saorren and Dono came. And yeah. But now this place might be a bit inactive, which is natural cause we haven't fixed up the place yet (which we will). You might as well just log in 2-3 a day, that's probably enough.
Boringness:
This place has the base battling system and such set for now. Right now it's severly cheap and broken, so it will need some fixing later on. Once you hang around for a few months (or even weeks...) you'll notice how stale the battle system will be. It gets boring and old. You might get tired of it even (which is why right now there's not much to keep people coming back). So it's natural that you'll feel bored. Just be prepared knowing this (until out revolution occurs...soon enough).
Changes:
If you think of a new suggestion, pm Karasu or Fhq. Right now this place needs a lot of changing, we just need to find a good time to actually do something about it. This place will definitely change around Christmas time where we will all hopefully have some free time to devote ourselves in fixing this place up.
